I hired Liz when I bought my historic colonial on a one acre lot that had absolutely no landscaping. There were many challenges such as a water logged lot, as it is surrounded by hills on all sides and a septic drainfield that needed to be relocated. Also, I had some very specific aesthetic and functional needs. I wanted a Japanese garden but I wanted natives to support the wildlife and wanted a four season garden with interest all year. The front of the house is on a busy street so I needed salt tolerant plants and I needed trees that would not interfere with the septic system and to retain visibility while exiting the driveway but still have privacy-so I gave her a very challenging project.

Not only did she deliver a beautiful plan that met all of the requirements but she educated me and I was able to start installing it that season. Many unforeseeable problems arose and she quickly would modified the plan and was/is always available for advice when these things come up. My yard is in its 3rd season and it has come so far. Neighbors and commuters when driving by actually stop to tell me how good the yard looks. I am not exaggerating. People travel this commuter road daily and people actually stop in front of the house or pull into the driveway when I am outside working and tell me how they have watched the changes over time from the boring lot into a beautiful garden. I would recommend Liz for jobs big or small; she is accommodating and talented, not to mention a lot of fun to work with.
